📖 Today, our elementary students had a special assembly in the auditorium as part of our READ ACROSS AMERICA week. Travis Carlson, from Pan-American Film, visited WACS, reading his book Mafia in the Multiverse and sharing his journey as an author and film-maker.
After reading his story about Josh from Allentown, Travis answered questions about his inspiration, his artwork, his work with the Buffalo Bills, and so much more. As a local author, Travis is the perfect example of how hardwork can help you to make your dreams come true.
A huge thank you to Travis for an unforgettable visit today!

Elementary students will all have an opportunity to shop at the PTO's Book Fair this week. It has been amazing to see how excited our students are about books!
You can shop the Book Fair together tonight at our Family Literacy Event. The event runs from 5:30-6:30pm, but the Book Fair will be open in the LGI from 5-7pm.
Thank you to all of our amazing PTO volunteers for being here during the school day to allow our classrooms to come down and shop! You will notice that your elementary child has a new book of their choosing from the Book Fair. These were generously donated by the PTO!
