In February, students in Mrs. Wilson's Public Speaking classes wrote speeches on the topic of the United Nations' Seventeen Sustainable Development Goals followed by seventy-five second impromptu speeches in preparation for the JCC Annual Speech Contest, which was held on Wednesday, April 22nd. Addison Lendt and Benjamin Wolfe represented Westfield at the speech contest, and both students did very well with Addison achieving first place! We are so very proud of both of them.

They had a great opportunity to learn from inspiring speakers, connect with other student-athletes, participate in various sporting activities, and explore leadership in sports. We are grateful for this opportunity!

High school and Middle school students had an assembly this morning to discuss the dangers of smoking and vaping. The assemblies were done separately, grades 9-12 and then grades 6-8. Students shared positive feedback after the assembly.

WE ARE WOLVERINES!

MS / HS February Students of the Month. Congratulations Students!

HS students in the 1st Amendment 1st Vote Club participated and presented their Health and Wellness project in a summit in Rochester, NY. Great job students!

Our halls were filled with excitement as we celebrated our PBIS Superhero Day at WACS!
Today was all about celebrating those everyday choices that make our elementary school such a great place to learn and grow:
🐾 P – We have pride in ourselves and show respect.
🐾 A – We have an attitude of kindness, politeness, and always do our best.
🐾 W – We make wise and healthy choices.
🐾 S – We keep ourselves and others safe. We solve all problems by talking them through.
What a fun day! Thank you to our PBIS Committee and our amazing elementary school staff. You are the real superheroes! 💙 WE ARE WOLVERINES 💙

Happy Pi Day, Westfield!
Mrs. Wright’s 4th grade class celebrated Pi Day by learning all about the mathematical number π (3.14)! After their lesson, students enjoyed mini blueberry and apple pie slices generously donated by Portage Pie. 🥧
It was a fun way to combine learning and a sweet treat together.
