A special thank you to Miss Hunt and the Westfield Volunteer Fire Department for their role in planning a great week for our students to learn the importance of fire safety.
Student were excited to have two special guests visit their classrooms this week to talk about fire safety. Mr. Jake and Mr. Walker stopped by classrooms to discuss how to prevent fires in the kitchen at home, ways to plan together as a family for fire fire safety, and how to respond if there is a fire.
Students were able to try on real fire gear as our firemen reinforced that they are there to help. We even practiced how to STOP, DROP AND ROLL!
We encourage you to utilize the resources we have shared this week via family text messages, to discuss your safety plan and meeting place at home, and to check your smoke alarms.
Thank you Westfield Volunteer Fire Department for your critical role in keeping us safe and preventing fires. We loved your visits!

Pre-K and Kindergarten spent this beautiful day at Burch Farms in North East, PA. Our students learned all about apple picking and got to bring their own apples home to share with their families. Today was a great day!
