WACS had seven students earn the honor of being selected for NYSSMA Senior High Area All State. These students performed solos this past spring in order to qualify for this incredible achievement. These student musicians represent the best of the best in Western New York.

Student groups in Ms. Alonge's CFM class planned a Thanksgiving dinner for four, with all the trimmings, using local grocery inserts, coupons, and a $100 budget.
It's a beautiful day for a top to bottom tour of Sahlens Field for this group of outstanding young sports managers in Ms. Alonge's class. Thanks to Shaun and his team for a great opportunity to learn the ins and outs of careers, marketing, and more at the Field.

4th graders were immersed in Native American culture this week starting with a special visit from Perry Ground, from the Turtle Clan of the Onondaga Nation, for storytelling and friendship wampum. The week also included their longhouse projects, succotash, and cornhusk dolls.
This was a truly memorable social studies unit for our students with some long standing Westfield traditions. Thank you to our family members that assisted with our cornhusk dolls this afternoon!

Officer Villafrank spent time in Mrs. Swank's classroom today talking about the role of a police officer as part of their Community Helpers unit. He reminded students that police officers are there to help keep everyone safe.

Congratulations to Carson Swanson for being named to Small School All WNY for Boys Soccer! Congrats Cars! We are so proud of you!
Westfield 9th graders Shelby Begier and Ella Chagnon performed at the 2023 NYSSMA Junior High Area All State festival this past weekend. Shelby played the flute in the Concert Band and Ella played percussion in the Symphony Orchestra. Both of these exceptional musicians earned their place among Western New York's top ensembles by preparing and performing solos at festival last Spring. Congratulations music-makers, your WACS family is proud of you!
